Four Hundred And Seven Water Purification Plants Installed In Balochistan




Balochistan government is committed to ensure clean drinking water to citizens across the province and substantial funds have been allocated for new and ongoing water schemes.

According to the Provincial Public Health Engineering department sources‚ the provincial government in collaboration with the federal government is also installing water filtration plants in every union council of the province.

As many as 407 water purification plants have already been installed out of four hundred and nine.

Referring to potable water supply to Gwadar‚ the sources said Akra Core dam caters for water needs of Gwadar town. However‚ the dam's capacity is reducing due to accumulation of silting.
