China would provide an assistance of six million dollars to Pakistan for the earthquake affected people in Balochistan.
An agreement in this regard was signed by the Secretary Economic Affairs Division‚ Ms. Nargis Sethi and Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan‚ Sun Weidong in Islamabad. The assistance consists of 4.5 million dollars in kind assistance which includes articles like medicines‚ tents and other necessary livelihood articles. A cash of 1.5 million dollars is also part of the assistance.
Speaking on the occasion‚ Secretary Economic Affairs Division thanked the Chinese Government for their prompt response during all calamities. She also highlighted the close and friendly relations between the two countries which she said is strengthening with each passing day.
The Chinese Ambassador expressed the commitment his government towards further strengthening the existing close friendly relations between the two counties.
He said that China would continue to contribute in the overall development and progress of Pakistan.
