Baloch for getting all departments rid of ghost employees

QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan, Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has directed for taking concrete measures to get all the provincial departments rid of ghost employees besides ensuring recruitment against vacancies on pure merit.

Speaking during a meeting to review performance of the provincial finance department here Tuesday, he termed the ghost employees as a major reason behind poor performance of the government departments.

Earlier, Provincial Secretary briefed the meeting on the finance department.Adviser to Chief Minister on Finance Mir Khalid Lango was also present on the occasion.

The CM stressed the need for adopting strict measures so that no single penny from the public exchequer could be spent without the rules and regulation.

He said the good governance could be promoted through an effective check on misappropriation of public funds which should only be spent on public welfare.

Earlier, the CM directed for convening the meeting of provincial selection board on monthly basis and deciding all pending promotion cases of the government officers.
